Big Bad Wolf goes to Davao City
Big Bad Wolf (BBW) conducted its biggest book sale in Davao City. It is the biggest and most affordable book sale in the world which offers 50-90% discounts on all books. The event is a 24 hours book sale that runs from November 23 to December 2, 2018. The sale has over 1 million books covering 20,000 high-end English titles across all genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and even rare collector’s titles.
Most of the books available come from the stock of BookXcess, a bookstore that specializes in excess stock from international distributors. It is founded by Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng (Malaysians). The first Big Bad Wolf event was held in 2009 at Dataran Hamodal, Selangor, Malaysia. Since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds, with howling successes at Surabaya and Jakarta in Indonesia and Bangkok in Thailand. BBW also toured in Manila and Cebu this year.
Currently, BBW partnered with Gawad Kalinga through the Red Readerhood Programme. Customers are encouraged to be part of the Programme by donating at the event.
