Tingog Party List distributes cash assistance to 500 Sarangans
ALABEL, Sarangani (November 10, 2022) - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Tingog Party List distributed cash assistance to around 500 individuals from the seven towns of Sarangani during the Alagang Tingog Payout activity on November 10 at the Capitol Gym.
The beneficiaries were composed of students, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and individuals affected by COVID-19, who each received P2,000.
Congressman Jude Acidre of the Tingog Party List spearheaded the payout activity, which aims to serve the Filipino family and enable them to achieve a good quality of life.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Ryan Jay Ramos, who represented Governor Rogelio "Ruel" D. Pacquiao, extended his gratitude to the Tingog Party List for their continued support to the people of Sarangani.
The project seeks to provide financial aid to students who need assistance with school, help senior citizens adjust to price hikes in different commodities, and offer aid to those who are affected by COVID-19.
On behalf of the party list, Acidre thanked all Sarangans, especially its leaders, for the support and trust they have given during the recent elections.
"Gusto namo magtuman og saad nga tabangan mo kay kini pagpakita how Tingog loves each one of you, maningkamot ang Tingog nga makatabang sa inyong tibuok pamilya," said Acidre.
He disclosed that the Tingog Party List had already poured P2M into Sarangani through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), which will aid in the operations of the Sarangani Provincial Hospital.
The Congressman also vowed to create strong link in Sarangani "para di na kinahanglan maglisod pa og adtog Manila ang atong mga katawhan kung manginahanglan silag tabang kay kami na ang mag adto sa inyo diri sa Sarangani."
Acidre is also looking into the possibility of constructing a Tingog Office inside the Capitol compound for quick response and delivery of service to the Sarangans.
The distribution activity was made possible with the help of the DSWD XII, headed by Emma Sacar, and the support of the Provincial Local Government of Sarangani.
Present during the activity were Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta, Chief of Staff Engr. Gerald Faciol, representing Congressman Steve Chiongbian Solon, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO) and some members of the Tingog Party List. (Joshua John S.
